Specificity:
Recognizes mouse BCMA.

Immunogen:
Recombinant mouse BCMA:Fc. The
extracellular domain of mouse BCMA (aa 1-46)
is fused at the C-terminus to a linker peptide (2
aa) and the Fc portion of human IgG1.
Format:
100 μg of antibody purified from concentrated
hybridoma tissue culture supernatant. Antibody
is at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide.
>95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term, and at -20°C long term.
Aliquot to avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:

Western blots: Use at a 1:1,000 dilution.

Immunoprecipitation: Use at a 1:200 dilution.

Flow cytometry: Use at a 1:1,000 dilution.

Funtional Application: Blocks binding of BAFF
to mouse BCMA.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.

Method: HEK 293 cells were mock transfected (thin line) or
transfected with an expression plasmid coding for mouse
BCMA (thick line). Cells (5x105) were incubated on ice for 30
minutes in 50 μL FACS buffer (PBS, 5% fetal calf serum,
0.02% azide) containing 1μg/mL of monoclonal antibody to
BCMA (mouse) (MC-113). After washing in FACS buffer,
PE-conjugated antibody to rat IgG was added. Cells were
incubated on ice for 30 minutes, washed and analyzed by
flow cytometry.
